The Enfants Cancers Santé association is an association present in Occitanie for around ten years whose main mission is to help children and adolescents with cancer to “heal more and heal better”. To do this, the association collaborates with committees of researchers, oncologists and scientists who work every day to research new treatment protocols. All funds raised by the association are entirely donated to these research institutes, in order to enable the development of new treatments.
Each year in France, nearly 2,500 children and adolescents suffer from cancer. Even if the 5-year survival rate now exceeds 80%, these cancers remain the leading cause of death from disease in children over one year old with around 500 deaths, the equivalent of a middle school. In addition, two thirds of patients develop after-effects of their treatments or secondary cancers likely to manifest throughout their lives.
Because 36% of blood products delivered each year help cancer patients, EFS Occitanie decides to go further by supporting research to reduce the disease through this campaign.
On this occasion, the Montauban Don House will open its doors for a full week, from Monday December 16 to Friday December 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. as well as Saturday December 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: 10 rue du Docteur Alibert, next to the hospital
Donor parking available.
As a reminder, donors are welcomed with OR without an appointment: donors can therefore show up spontaneously or make an appointment by telephone or online.
Plasma donation is also now possible at the Maison du don in Montauban (appointment required).
