The name of Bressols could come from the Gallic name Brictus, successor of the bishop Saint-Martin of Tours. This name would have become “brès” (cradle in Occitan) to which the suffix-ol would have been added. During the 19th century, archaeological digs uncovered a few carved flints, Celtic axes and ruins of Gallo-Roman villas!
His heritage:
*The Lavoir de Touron dates from 1850.

Recently, the Town Hall decided to build a hall under which entertainment is offered throughout the summer. This hall is located at the level of the playground which extends over nearly 1.5 hectares and offers all the equipment for leisure activities (fitness trail, skate park, football and rugby stadiums, etc.)
A little extra, its motorhome area with nearly pitches, also located near the playground, is free!
A 1-flower city in bloom, Bressols can also be discovered on Heritage Days, when private owners give you access to their gardens and urban heritage.
Finally, thanks to its proximity to the Tarn, Bressols is a recommended place for cruises along the water and fishing aficionados.
