Cinéma - Les inaudibles

On June 7, 1974, the last inhabitants of the village of Brovès (Haut-Var) were chased out by the French army. The village is integrated into the immense Canjuers military camp. The director gives a voice to these families, fifty years after the tragedy. A path of memory which also traces the history of the Occitanist cultural movement in those years in Provence. Men and women of theater and music spoke in French and Occitan. The testimonies gathered here tell a universal story, that of
forced uprooting and deculturation. Alongside the film, Didier Mir published an eponymous work where he develops these same themes in a bilingual book, of kaleidoscopic construction with multiple literary forms and illustrated with his engravings, photographs and drawings, which will be exhibited during the presentation of the film.
