With an average of 3,800 participants in all races and around 8,000 visitors over the two days, the Montauban Marathon weekend is a fixture on the national event calendar. On the Cours Foucault, near the heart of the town, the Montauban Marathon welcomes runners and onlookers with open arms, for this 17th edition!
While the Marathon and its 42.195 km course remains the weekend’s flagship event, there are other races for all those who want to push their efforts further: – A 10 km course (FFA-certified) – A 21 km half-marathon (FFA-certified) – A relay marathon for teams of 4 runners (over distances of around 10 km)
On Saturday, children can take part in two races: the first “Teen Tour” race, open to 13-15 year-olds, and the traditional “T’es pas cap tour” race, open to 6-12 year-olds.
On Sunday morning, because sport is good for everyone’s health, there’s a special event for the usually numerous walkers: – a nature walk, organized by the Seniors actifs montalbanais : a heritage walk, organized by the Centre d’interprétation de l’architecture et du patrimoine (CIAP). Lecturer-guides will lead this walk (also around 10 km), organized in several groups.
Dp Marathon 2025 Montauban
The 2025 marathon will live up to its reputation as an urban race, with the majority of the route on roads. As usual, it will be run in two loops, with few changes from previous editions. The altitude difference is virtually nil. Intra-muros, the route offers runners a chance to get away from it all and challenge themselves at some of the most emblematic sites in the city of Ingres, while accompanying runners can choose the best photo spots, including the esplanade des Fontaines and the Ancien Collège, the Ingres Bourdelle museum and so many other Montalban sites.
